Candice Attree

Candice is an experienced therapist, having been in private practice for more than 20 years. Candice worked at the University of Pretoria’s High-Performance Centre alongside Dr Philda de Jager (Sports Physician), for 17 years, and has gained a wealth of knowledge in the management, and rehabilitation of sports and orthopaedic injury.

 

Clients in her care have included professional sports stars such as Caroline Wostmann (Two Oceans and Comrades winner), Caster Semenya (800m), Fourie du Preez (Springbok), Pierre Spies (Springbok), Chiliboy Ralepelle (Springbok), Yolanda Speedy (Cape Epic Winner), Charne Bosman (Comrades Winner), Erin Burger (SA Netball) and several more. She now practices full time at her practice in Moreletapark.

 

Candice, herself, having played netball at a high level, including Gauteng North A and the SA Squad, knows what it takes. She now enjoys cycling and running in her free time, having completed her first marathon in 2019.

 

Candice studied at the University of Pretoria, she has honours in Sports Science and honours in Biokinetics, as well as a teaching diploma.

Lucas Burger

Lucas registered as a biokineticist at the HPCSA in 2018. He has a passion for all sports. Lucas has participated in rugby 7s and 15s at competitive levels. And is currently participating in triathlons, trail running and mountain biking events.

 

Lucas gained a wealth of experience working in a multidisciplinary practice in Natal. Using the latest knowledge and research to diagnose and treat injuries and to get athletes and patients back on track. Lucas is experienced in working with ergonomics of the workplace, along with the elderly and more sedentary individuals.

 

Training strives to keep the activities of daily living pain-free and improve the quality of life as much as possible.

Lucas Graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with honours in Biokinetics in the year 2018 and has been a valuable member of this practice for 3 years.
